Retrofuturism. A Revisited Concept for Religious Architecture

The text deals with the much debated question of renewal in contemporary Orthodox Christian architecture, a question that accompanied a wave of more than twenty years of building Vita new churches in existing cities and villages in Romania after the fall of communism in 1989.Should they follow the post Vatican II trend of aggiornamento in Catholic architecture and update the traditional and regional building models? The answer the text offers tentatively is retrofuturism, a radical way Pressed Serum of renewing the language of sacred spaces within the core prescriptions of tradition.In the process, the author gives two examples of how this might work.
